I appreciate this conversation, even your disagreement! You'll find that much of my writing here is on neurodiversity, and a wide spectrum of responses to expectations of belonging and community. We are so very different inside our brains and there are many for whom expectations of "belonging" will cause panic. These students need structure more than community.
